Around the world there are many Christians participating in the “Behold the Lamb” fast. The “Behold the Lamb” website describes the purpose of this fast well:

Let us fast and pray for those who struggle with same-sex attraction, gender dysphoria, or identify themselves as LGBTQ+. We are contending through prayer and fasting for Jesus to have His complete inheritance and the reward for His suffering, including those who are currently held in the captivity and bondage of sexual and relational brokenness.

I recommend you check out their website - www.beholdthelambfast.com

As I read through one of the daily devotions that centres on Joshua 3, where the Priests carry the ark into the middle of the Jordan, I noticed the words in verse 17 - Then the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan; and all Israel crossed over on dry ground, until all the people had crossed completely over the Jordan.

The priests represent intercessors and what struck me was that they stayed in place until ALL the people had crossed over. That was a reminder to me to keep praying, not just for those I know and until they are saved, but that this is a call for life, let us uphold the LGBTQ+ community in prayer as a matter of priority every week.

Satan is pushing the LGBT agenda and the world has fallen for his lies; but the truth is that ALL can be redeemed and transformed by God’s love. I suppose the message I’m giving is that we as Christians need to recognise the lie, and be prepared to push on in prayer, to uphold those in this community. I want to encourage Christian parents, don’t become like the world, accepting this as God’s way for your child. Rather set your face like flint to keep praying, day after day, week after week both for your child and their friends and the gay community as a whole. We need to keep praying until the last one has crossed completely over their Jordan, and then we can have peace.

For others, you will almost certainly have friends, neighbours or work colleagues in this community, how are you praying for them?

Join us in prayer, we have an opportunity to open the doors of heaven and your prayers are already working. There are many amazing testimonies of God meeting people where they are at, showing them his love and his promise for their lives. God is not restricted to working in churches, and he is reaching into places you would least expect. Let us trust in the power of prayer as we partner with God for an amazing harvest.

If you don’t know how to pray, or have someone you want us to stand with you in prayer for email tbglministry@gmail.com and we will add them to our list of names who we pray for every week.
